BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS Brian proved his initiative and determination from an early age in his sporting career by representing New Zealand in weightlifting over a 5 year period in Olympic, Commonwealth and World Championships. While travelling overseas on his sporting endeavors Brian discovered the concept of cobblestone paving. In 1976 after a lot of investigation and deliberation Brian produced a hand operated brick machine, this apparatus produced the first interlocking paving in New Zealand.
Through his innovative improvements to this design throughout the years Marsden Machinery has now a leadership role in the Brick and Paving Industry, with equipment that is fully automated and computerized. Due to its economical investment, reliability and the readily available materials of Sand, Limestone Chip, Cement etc, Marsden Machinery has had immense success in China with numerous Plants now in operation throughout the country.
Committed to success and an ongoing desire for improvement, the tireless efforts of Brian and the expert Marsden Machinery team continued, with the result that the machinery is now capable of producing bricks using up to 85% flyash wastes from coal fired power stations. Many Marsden Machinery Plants are now operating in China producing Flyash Bricks. Marsden Machinery have two manufacturing plants and their own sales office in Beijing.
